Verichip or Mark of the Beast?

Revelations 13: 16-17 says, "16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name."

HERE is an interesting piece of technology thats about to hit the market this month. Check out thier website HERE and look at the promotional reasons behind getting the chip. Watch the CNN Video presentation as well.

Is this Biblical prophesy coming true. Not quite certain but sure looks like it. If you read Revelations 13 there are several other things that have to happen before we can call this, "the mark of the beast."

Until then, I will be rocking out to my new iPod implanted in my forehead. No earbuds to mess with.

I love Jesus too...in reading your comment about the VeriChip and comparing it to the full version of Revelations I think you should re-think your comments. It seems as if the technology is only medical in nature versus the inference that you are making...why try to scare folks against getting something like this chip that may actually help to save their life one day?

Dear Anonymous,
Its obvious you dont know me very well. So I will extend some grace here.
When I find things like said post I tend to make fun of all parties involved. When your re-reading my post make sure you re-read exactly what I said about Rev. 13 and the last sentence of my post.

I never said it was the mark of the beast nor did I say that the chip was something to be avoided. I actually encouraged my readers, and thank you for reading I appreciate it, to go to the website and check it out.

I am one to embrace technonoly. And if I were not a believer in Christ I would be the first in line with my family and pets and we would get VeriChipped up. I would be so excited to not have to worry about having to carry cash with me, medical records, car insurance, etc. The New Age in technology that the Anti-Christ will usher in is going to be fantastic, for non-believers that is. But, until then I will stick to carrying my wallet with me. Because I really see no sign in any of that coming about anytime soon, this week that is.

You may find Joel Rosenbergs book Epicenter an interesting read. You seem perplexed by such things. I am glad you love Jesus.

Thanks for the banter...and next time, leave your name.
