Carrie Prejean gets the Hero of the Day award from me because she spoke her mind. In an era of liberal backlash against Christianity and morality here is a woman who stands by her convictions and lets the world know that its OK to speak truth even when it may be unpopular. Paul spoke many times about his faith and the love of Christ and was beaten up for it.
Ms. Prejean said in an interview that she and her church are praying for those who have begun to persecute her. That is grace and forgiveness beyond measure. This also shows that Christ is working in her life. I read a book my John McArthur several years ago and he said, one of the ways you can tell if you are in the Lords will is if you are being persecuted for your faith.
There will always be a backlash against Christianity in the secular world. But that should never discourage Christians from walking into any secular arena. Nor should secularists ever fear walking into the Christian arena.
Congratulations Ms. Carrie Pejean on becoming the runner up in the pageant. Thank you for sharing your faith on stage. I am watching as God opens the doors of the news media for you to share the love of Christ with the world.

Which church does she go to?
I believe she said she goes to a church in Sacramento...but I could be wrong about that.
